Mills College offers a doctorate in Educational Leadership to prepare accomplished professionals as leaders in policy, curriculum, communication, research, and informal learning. Mills also offers MA and credential programs in teaching and administration. Mills specializes in educational leadership, researching models for implementing and sustaining science instruction that is enhanced by instructional technology.
 
 
Mills graduate students collaborate with students at Arizona State interested in policies on bilingual education and technology and with all the TELS professional development partners to study promising practices.
 
Jane Bowyer’s primary interests are the role of educational leadership and professional development in science and technology. She has directed numerous teacher development research projects, including the mid-career math and science teacher preparation program, a doctoral program in educational leadership and cross-cultural research in Japanese teacher development. Bowyer directs research on educational leadership and professional development in science and technology, with a focus on how educational leaders can best support the use of instructional technology for improving science education.
