The sidebar does not allow the user to resize the left side. clicking the button on the left side, just allows to collapse and restore.

SAIL SIDEBAR Action Plan 1. Add "Shrink Steps" button adjacent to the Global Int...SAIL
SIDE-BAR Action Plan
1. Add "Shrink Steps" button adjacent to the Global Interface buttons.
? Should include a left arrow icon, implying what the button does.
? Rollover text is "Shrink the Step navigation bar"
? Rollover effect: the left arrow icon changes to a brighter color
2. If the Shrink Steps button is clicked, replace the full-size Sidebar with the narrow SideBar. The Narrow Side Bar consists of:
1) WISE Icon. Smaller and vertically positioned. Appears in top left corner of narrow Sidebar.
2) "Expand Steps" button with rightward arrow icon. Clicking this button returns user to full-sized sidebar.
a) Rollover text = "Expand the Step navigation bar"
b) Rollover effect = the right arrow changes to brighter color.
3) "Previous" button. Advances to previous project step w/out needing to expand the side bar.
a) Rollover text = "Move to previous step in project"
b) Rollover effect = text brightens
4) "Next" button. Advances to next project step.
a) Rollover text = "Move to next step in project"
b) Rollover effect = text brightens
5) Current Location Display. A little box (that doesn't look like a button) that indicates the current Activity and Step numbers.
a) Example: A1 S3
b) Activity 1 Step 3. Note that the Step number should be more visually prominent. (bold font)
3. The full-size version of the Sidebar should be modified as follows:
a) Eliminate 2-3 pixels of whitespace to left of Step Icons
b) Eliminate 2-3 pixels of whitespace between Step Icon box and the Up/Down scroll bar.
c) Reduce width of full-size Sidebar by 75 pixels
d) Allow text wrapping of Step Names. The text should wrap exactly below first unique letter in the Step Name (don't wrap beneath the automated "Step X: " text).
e) Allow text wrapping of up to 3 lines.
f) Make sure to maintain white space between Steps. The user should be able to easily visually distinguish the Steps from one another.
