These instructions are to setup computers for tels runs
- login as administrator to the computer
- Run apple update or windows update to make sure the computers OS is update to date.
- After you update, run apple update again, because there might be additional updates that need be installed
- Make sure the lastest version of Firefox is installed
- Get the lastest version here
- On Mac run the java fix: http://onrdiy.concord.org/FixJavaWebStart.dmg
- Run the project and test it.
- Make sure the student has access to the recently installed Firefox:
- Click on Accounts
- Unlock the accounts
- Click on the Student Account
- Click on Parental Controls
- Click on the configure button next to Finder & System
- Under This user can only use these applications, make sure the box next to Firefox is checked.
- Log in as student and do the following tasks:
- Add Firefox to the dashboard
- Set the homepage of Firefox as either wise-dev.berkeley.edu for wise2-sail runs or for wise 3 runs: http://encore.oise.utoronto.ca:10020/webapp/index.html*
