Assessment Template and Viewer SCENARIO

A teacher named Bob is delighted to be using a new SAIL unit but wants to be able to add or change the assessment module. He is happy with the content and doesn't want to get into "authoring" but does want to add a couple of new items based on some ideas he got from a recent PD seminar. Fortunately, the cool SAIL environment keeps the assessment manager fairly separate, at least in appearance, so that the teacher doesn't feel intimidated about modifying the assessment.

Bob is just about to edit the assessment when he discovers the assessment library on the TELS website. Cool! He searchs under "Physics" and "Heat and Temperature" and finds a bunch of great items that he can use immediately in his assessment. Wow, his work is almost done. He selects a couple of good items and drags them into his current assessment template. The system kindly renumbers the questions for reporting purposes.

Bob marvels at the assessment template. Its available like a "view" and show graphically how his assessment is interspersed over his unit. Questions indicated by icons over a map of the steps in his unit.
