Pas Researcher Package - a turnkey solution for researchers to author, deploy and assess author artifacts and learner data in the Pas model

The PRP uses SAIL to do its magic, but no one has to know about it until they want to dig in.

Action plan

  • Cynick implements Java-based portal UI on top of Stephen's Ruby-based SDS
  • Stephen gets SDS running in Tomcat using JRuby
  • Matt develops Pas Portal UI
  • Tony integrates authoring tools into Pas Portal
  • Cynick begins accessing SDS within JVM (saving HTTP overhead)

no need to choose a priori the mix of Ruby and Java code. the mixture will come pragmatically out of small development decisions along the way.
